Definition
e-learning
e-learning is the delivery of learning and training through electronic means. Although e-learning can be delivered in a number of different formats (CD-ROM, mobile phones, PDAs etc) the most common delivery mechnaism is via the internet or intranet browser.
Terms such as "blended learning" in conjunction with e-learning emphasise that an online solution is often complemented by off-line learning.
e-Office Safety utilises e-learning to impart ergonomics information in order to carry out workstation assessments. The e-learning content can also be blended with traditional assessment techniques.
e-learning has adopted two standards AICC and SCORM. These standards allow any e-learning content which follows the standard to talk to a ny similarly configured Learning Management System. The common use of such e-learning standards is a feature of modern e-learning. Further information regarding e-learning development can be found at e-learning wmb's site.

The e-learning is primarily designed around giving the DSE user the necessary information to carry out a ergonomics self-assessment of their workstation.
The e-learning is separated into 7 sections on seating, the desk (i.e. the DSE itself), typing, the monitor, the DSE work itself and health environment.
